About the Role
We’re seeking a Legal Intern/Junior Associate to support our legal team in drafting demand letters, preparing legal documentation, managing case files, and conducting legal research. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and impactful organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review demand letters, contracts, and legal documents.
- Organize and manage legal case files.
- Conduct legal research on Kenyan laws and regulations.
- Assist in preparing reports and tracking outstanding debts.
- Communicate with clients and debtors on legal matters.
- Support court filings and documentation preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or Diploma in Law (or currently pursuing).
- Basic understanding of contract law and debt recovery in Kenya.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Prior internship experience in a legal department or law firm.
- Familiarity with debt recovery procedures and commercial law.
