Jubilee Insurance, East Africa’s leading composite insurer with over 1.9 million clients, is seeking an IFRS17 Integration Engineer to join their team at the Head Office in Nairobi. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in implementing and integrating IFRS 17 standards within Jubilee’s financial systems.
About the Role:
As the IFRS17 Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of financial data and reporting systems in compliance with IFRS 17 regulations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze integration requirements, and support the implementation of financial software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with finance, actuarial, and IT teams to gather and analyze integration requirements for IFRS 17 compliance.
- Design, configure, and customize financial software applications to meet IFRS 17 standards.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure system accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor data flow and ensure timely production of IFRS 17 reports.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the IFRS 17 system, including troubleshooting and enhancements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
- Experience in system analysis, design, and integration, preferably in the finance or insurance sector.
- Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, ETL tools) and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python).
- Strong understanding of IFRS 17 standards and financial reporting requirements.
