The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Programme Design Specialist to support the Law Division in designing a project document that aligns with UNEP’s new mid-term strategy (2026–2029). This is a home-based consultancy role for six months.
About the Role
As the Programme Design Specialist, you’ll work under the supervision of the Director, Law Division, to draft a project document outlining outcomes, outputs, milestones, and activities. Your work will ensure the effective implementation of UNEP’s environmental law and governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate consultations to define the structure and outline of the project document.
- Draft the Theory of Change and Logical Framework for the project.
- Conduct consultations and refine the draft project document based on feedback.
- Submit a final draft of the project document.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in International Relations or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, design, or evaluation.
- Knowledge of Theories of Change and Logical Framework design is required.
- Experience advising UN entities on project design is desirable.
- Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
